Pathways / Young Musicians Development Program


  • A year-round program equipping talented youth with the resources necessary to become professional artists, educators, and leaders in the South Florida community.
  • Students receive access to unique opportunities, musical and non-musical, designed to develop the skills required to be successful in their chosen career.

Success Stories from the Inaugural Year of
the Young Musicians Development Program:

  • 38 students were able to successfully earn full scholarships to the prestigious Interlochen Arts Summer Camp.
  • Four students were admitted to the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles National Festival, where they had the opportunity to perform under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel (Conductor, Los Angeles Philharmonic) at Walt Disney Concert Hall with students from all over the country.
  • One student was accepted to the Sphinx Performance Academy in Detroit and awarded a scholarship from the Black Violin Foundation.
  • Our President, Anna Klimala, presented on the YMPD program at the Americans for the Arts Conference in Washington, DC in April.
  • This year, students in our YMPD program will perform at the New World Center and the North Beach Bandshell on Miami Beach.
