Summer Music Camp
This 4-week long summer music camp integrates students from different communities in a neutral and fun environment, promoting peer mentoring and intense learning through the joy of music making.
About this Program
Miami Music Project’s Summer Music Camp serves as a summer bridge to help ensure that orchestral students continue to grow in their performance abilities through the summer months, as well as provides a cross-community bridge connecting students from different communities to learn and make music in a fun, out-of-school environment.
Students participate in sectional and orchestra rehearsals, undergo daily repertoire analysis and participate in intensive social development activities. The focus of the Summer Music Camp is to provide comprehensive music education through orchestral participation from very early stages, group lessons, and peer teaching; installing a passion for classical music, teamwork, and a shared commitment to the joy of music making.
