The Miami Music Project is proud to partner with The Cleveland Orchestra Miami Residency. Education and community outreach are at the heart of the Orchestra's commitment to delivering extraordinary musical experiences to the Miami-Dade community and this goal aligns with the core mission of the Miami Music Project. Still in its formative stages, the parameters of the partnership are being explored and defined. At this time members of the Miami Music Project ensemble are envisioned to be working with The Cleveland Orchestra musicians, preparing and performing in-school and education programs for Miami-Dade students.
The current home of the Miami Music Project is the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County in downtown Miami. With two major halls designed to produce and present the finest in classical and popular entertainment, the Center is a $478 million community investment. The Center includes the 2,200-seat John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall, the 2,400-seat Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House, a 200-seat flexible space Carnival Studio Theater, and the 7,000 square foot central Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts outdoor performance space.
The Miami Music Project is proud to be a partner of the Adrienne Arsht Center, which is also a principal Miami venue for its three artistic resident companies: The Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, and the New World Symphony, America's Orchestra Academy. The Cleveland Orchestra is also in the midst of a ten year 3 week 'annual winter residency' at the Center.
The Coral Gables Congregational Church (CGCC) Community Arts Program offers exceptional after-school education opportunities in one-on-one and group instrument training (currently violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, trumpet, percussion, and voice), music theory, music appreciation, master class and performance. The Miami Music Project and CGCC Community Arts Program partnership incorporates a sharing of curriculum goals, strategies, students, and teachers to maximize the goals of both MMP and CGCC Community Arts Program. Music education, community engagement and outreach are doubly reinforced and additional employment and enrichment is available to MMP professional musicians/performers.
